Have-a-go Activities

There are a variety of Have-a-Go activities available at the Great Shires Game Fair including:

  • BASC Gundog Scurries
  • Air Rifles with ATEO Air Rifles – £4 for 10 shots with new model Daystate/Brocock/BSA and Gamo PCP airguns
  • Fly Casting competitions in the Wye Hall Fishing Area with Pass it on Young Sports
  • Have-a-go fly tying in the Wye Hall
  • Clay Shooting with Bristol Clay Shooting
  • National Target Sports Association – Target Shooting: Fun shoot (7 shots) on a single bull or 6 shots on a competition target. Both £2.50 per go
  • Archery with Adrian Caddy Archery
  • Pass it on Young Sports – Game Calling displays and lessons (Wye Hall)
  • Children’s Entertainment Area
  • Bushcraft
  • Have a go net making in the ferret area in the Wye Hall with Avon Valley Ferrets
  • Slingshot World Shooting Range (Slingshot World Magazine with Sling City): Full competition shooting range with varied targets from novice to expert. (Safety glasses provided). £3 for 15 shots or £5 for 30 and share with a friend! You can also make your own slingshot
  • RAPTOR Paintball:£4 for 18 shots on this unique interactive target range. The challenge is to try to shoot a set number of targets (that move) in as quick a time as possible – a brilliant and fun challenge. The winner is invited with up to 5 friends for an hour of shooting free of charge!
  • Freestyle Coppersmith
  • Longbow making with Phil Brooke Longbows. Plus have a go in the longbow range £5 for 10 shots with instruction
  • Horn Blowing competition (indoor arena – Wye Hall – Sunday, 19th April)
